Seminar “Artificial Intelligence (AI) on High Performance Computing (HPC)”

EuroCC@Greece and the IT Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) announce the “Artificial Intelligence (AI)on High Performance Computing (HPC): Boosting AI research and systems through the usage of HPC infrastructure” Hybrid Seminar, on October 11th, 2023, at 10:00 – 14:00 EET.

Presentation language: Greek

Audience: Suitable for members of the academic community and industry (researchers, data scientists, ML engineers, etc.) who are interested in the utilization of High Performance Computing technologies for Artificial Intelligence applications.

Location: On-site at the KEDEA AUTH building (3rd September street – University Campus, 546 36 Thessaloniki) and Online via Zoom.

The seminar consists of two parts (see the detailed Agenda here):

A.  The first part will include an introduction to HPC technologies and infrastructures and their use for Artificial Intelligence applications. Relevant research activities of members of the AUTH and a tutorial on the use of the HPC infrastructure “Aristotle” of the AUTH for Artificial Intelligence applications will be presented. 

B.  The second part consists of a workshop (hands-on training) for the use of HPC techniques and infrastructures in the training of machine learning algorithms (AutoML). Participants will have the opportunity to follow the examples of the instructors.
